Opportunity Summary 

The applicant will be responsible for coordinating practices and constructing a daily practice schedule to teach participants the fundamentals of flag Football. This program will take place at local parks 3 days of the week for 4 hours each day. The applicant will receive a team of 10-14 players whom they will coach and help them learn how to play. Participants will range from grade PreK-8th grade.

The student will proved practice schedules/routines that will be followed during the program practices. The student will be provided with proper equipment to help accomplish the routines necessary for the sport being taught. The student will be responsible for making sure that the equipment is used properly, sanitized after being used, and put away in its correct place. The student will fill out a end of the shift report going over the practice.

Training:

Training will include general employer orientation, job shadowing, and provision of work samples.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able coordinate lesson plans and how to execute them. The student will also learn how to make routines adjustable and flexible for the different skill range that each participant has. The student will be able to fluctuate their teaching strategies and use of communication to properly abide to the different age groups.
