Help the participants with different activities, socializing with participants, making copies of various documents, learning about dementia care, and building trust and relationships with participants.
Allow them to lead the activities with the supervision of other staff, and observed their interaction with the participants periodicity during the day,
Training:
They would learn about dementia care by watching a training video, learn about the HIPPA, and learn about their duties by following the instruction from the activity coordinator.
Learning Outcomes:
demonstrate the different roles of the activity aid, identified the needs of the client with dementia, build a relationship with an older adult who has cognitive impairment, lead the group activities and individual activities.
