Opportunity Summary 

Supporting with attendance reports. Supporting in managing before school and afterschool program. Supporting with marketing our afterschool program and events to help increase the average daily attendance at site. 

Tasks:

- Creating weekly principal reports
- Tracking attendance reports
- Creating family surveys
- Submitting attendance/ updating attendance trackers
- Creating program flyers
- Advertising before school/after school program
- Shadowing/ conducting program and staff observations

Training:

- Student will be attending monthly trainings with supervisor.
- Student will be shadowing supervisor three times a week.
- Student will have weekly one on one meetings with supervisor to provide feedback.
- Student will cofacilitate student/ parent workshops.

Learning Outcome:

-The student will be able to effectively manage the learning environment by utilizing techniques with a focus on leadership through cofacilitation with leaders
-The student will be able to collaborate with all stakeholders to synergize efforts that result in positive student outcomes and improve program quality.
-The student will be able to advocate youth voice and leadership by integrating a student feedback cycle that contributes to a quality and engaging program.
-The student will be able to collaborate with internal stake holders to further develop opportunities for program growth and foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for students and staff.

I apologize for the delayed response. I apologize for the confusion. Here are the descriptions of tasks that were stated. Adriana Chico will not be assigned to complete these tasks stated bellow but more so supporting and gaining knowledge on Site Program Manager tasks . She will gain experience by shadowing myself and supporting when needed.

  

  1. Assisting with Weekly Principal Reports:

  • Gain experience in compiling data and insights to help track the program’s progress. Interns will help create detailed weekly reports that support program improvement and enhance communication with school leadership.

  1. Supporting Attendance Tracking and Reporting:

  • Develop skills in data management and analysis by assisting with attendance tracking. Interns will help maintain accurate attendance records and contribute to identifying trends and areas for improvement in program participation.

  1. Designing and Distributing Family Surveys:

  • Learn about survey creation and data collection techniques while supporting the development of family feedback surveys. Interns will have the opportunity to design and distribute surveys that help assess the effectiveness of the program and gather valuable input from families.

  1. Managing Attendance and Program Tracking:

  • Interns will learn how to navigate our attendance platform (Salesforce), ensuring that the records are accurate and up-to-date. This will provide hands-on experience in organizing data and monitoring trends.

  1. Creating Engaging Program Flyers:

  • Develop creative skills by assisting with the design of promotional materials. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to creating eye-catching flyers that inform families about the program and attract new participants.

  1. Promoting Before and After School Programs:

  • Enhance communication and marketing abilities by assisting in the advertising of the before-school and after-school programs. Interns will help ensure the program is well-promoted, reaching out to the community and encouraging engagement.

  1. Shadowing and Conducting Program Observations:

  • Gain valuable insights into program operations by shadowing staff and observing program activities. Interns will learn about best practices in program management, leadership, and staff interactions, with opportunities to conduct their own observations under supervision.
