Opportunity Summary 

Site Program Lead will be in charge of running the morning program before school. They will provide a safe and supportive environment, mentoring youth, planning activities, and ensuring program compliance, while also managing staff and coordinating projects.

Tasks
-Providing complementary academic support
- Are responsible for assuring optimal academic alignment to school and district needs
-Ensure the safety of all students in program
-Students will have their own rules and expectations for their class
-Practice communication skills with parents and their children

Training
The training the student will receive includes having weekly scheduled one-on-one meetings with their supervisor. During this time, the supervisor will provide the intern with a breakdown on how the morning program will run and what their expectations are. In addition, the supervisor will be able to provide the intern with weekly feedback, letting them know of their strengths an areas of improvement. A monthly staff meeting will also be required in order to enhance program rules and expectations.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the academic internship, the intern will be able to develop managing, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as learn how to network with other individuals.
