Training:
To help the student achieve their learning outcomes, our team of publicists will train them to prepare writing materials such as drafting press releases to help guide them through a formal invitation to the media for what a particular event looks like or an announcement of a product release or an album release for a music artist. This is also how we analyze their strength in writing and give advice.
The student will also be able to use social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to draft specific postings for a celebrity to announce projects and drive tune in for specific TV interviews. The student must do some research on their own on a client and review our social media platforms to capture the voice of a 'personality' or 'brand'. This is how we communicate the client to the public.
Lastly, the student will get hands-on experience by assisting in coordinating a large-scale event. We coordinate events from time to time and the intern will get to experience the functions and expectations of a person involved in the Entertainment Public Relations industry. Some interns will be able to assist publicists on-site at events to do guest list, organize seating charts, etc.
