Opportunity Summary 

The Events & Outreach Team is the heartbeat of EBDL’s in-person and virtual connection. This team brings our mission to life by planning and executing meaningful community events like the Self-Love Booth, Cornhole Tournament, Wellness Workshops, and Mental Health Awareness Talks. From college campuses to community centers, this team builds safe, empowering spaces where every body feels seen, heard, and celebrated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and host inclusive self-love workshops, wellness activities, and peer-led emotional support groups.

  • Coordinate all logistics, outreach, and volunteer management for EBDL community events.

  • Lead the expansion and impact of Club EBDL and college/university chapters.

Tasks:

Student Duties for Events & Outreach Team
\u2728 Event Planning & Execution
Assist in planning logistics for in-person and virtual events (e.g., Self-Love Booths, workshops, wellness activities, fundraisers, and speaking panels)

Help create and maintain run-of-show documents, setup checklists, and event supply inventories

Support day-of setup, facilitation, and breakdown of EBDL events

Collect post-event feedback and evaluations from attendees and volunteers

Recruit, onboard, and assign roles to volunteers for outreach events

Develop and maintain volunteer databases and sign-up sheets

Facilitate communication with volunteers before, during, and after events

Support training and motivation of volunteers to align with EBDL’s inclusive mission

\u2728 Community Outreach & Engagement
Represent EBDL at outreach events and tabling opportunities

Network with local schools, nonprofits, and community leaders to build partnerships

Create and distribute flyers, outreach emails, and promotional materials

Host or support Club EBDL interest meetings on campus or virtually

\u2728 Program & Club Development
Assist in launching or growing “Club EBDL” at local colleges and universities

Lead or co-lead small group activities like body-positive workshops, journaling circles, or mental health check-ins

Track student involvement and impact metrics (sign-ins, participation rates, testimonials)

\u2728 Administrative & Communication Support
Attend weekly team check-ins and submit intern progress reports

Draft professional outreach emails or follow-up communications with event attendees

Maintain organized records of event attendance, volunteer hours, and engagement stats

Document event highlights for use in newsletters, grant applications, or social media
