Social Media/Marketing Intern for Talent AgencyAt — Creative Talent

Opportunity Summary

Implement a plan for social media, which would be to focus on building a following on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. Follow our key audience and encourage them to follow Tiffin Creative Talent back. The goal for the social media would be to build a community of actors/models, photographers and casting directors/producers. We can also test out paid advertising for our demographics and posts encouraging transactions for people to act now. The ads would also tell a story. You can do that with a single image, single video, slideshow with music and carousel ads.

Possibly start with a vlog, interview or speech either created by us or pulled from a public one, then create a article, memo, images, quotes, stories, remixes, rantes, gifs, quotes, stories, etc. Then distribute the content on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and eventually on YouTube and Instagram TV as more content is developed over time. After the posts and you start to develop a community where people comment on the posts, and distribute community driven content from their point of view to create more conversations. Then start over with another vlog, interview or speech.

This is a remote position flexible with hours. Spending one hour a day broken up throughout the day or all at once would be fine. If more time is needed to satisfy internship requirements, we have remote administrative work available with updating talent profiles (headshots, resumes, reels, skills) and send profiles electronically to casting directors for print, television, film and new media projects.

Tasks:

Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions

Training:

Students will receive weekly scheduled one-on-one mentor meetings and will job shadow, remotely.

The supervisor, myself, will be communicating with the intern daily via email discussing, planning and implementing responsibilities of running an agency, as well as strategies for communicating with clients and business partners. Weekly meetings will take place via email or phone to discuss results and modify strategies. All agency operations are virtual through the internet, so the only safety measures needed is keeping the intern's personal information off of any company communications.

Learning Outcome:

Have a social media strategy to use for future clients or jobs.
Have a template for a media plan for future clients or jobs.
Have a portfolio to use for next job opportunity.
Have an insight into the entertainment industry for TV, Film, Print and New Media
