Participation in the research activities of the lab. This includes weekly meetings, data collection from human participants, data cleaning and coding. Data analysis and preparation of findings for presentation.
Learning Outcomes
Greater understanding of the research process.
Greater knowledge of various theories of cognition.
Improved ability to work collaboratively.
Training
Students will help create experiment materials and clean and code data which will enhance understanding of the research process through hands-on interaction.
Relevant research articles will be discussed - including theories - during weekly meetings.
The lab works as a group. Students discuss research, run participants, and work on data and presentations together.
Tasks/Duties
Running experimental sessions (first with an experienced RA and then solo)
Cleaning and coding data (first with other RAs and then potentially solo)
Helping run analyses of data and explaining what the results mean (first with other RAs and then potentially solo)
Creating presentation materials of the research.
