Opportunity Summary 

Teaching assistants will be meeting weekly with me, the supervising professor, to discuss student assignments and teaching assistant requirements. Assistants will conduct office hours with students, grade assignments, and hold exam prep hours.

Learning Outcomes  

  1. Understand the beginnings of what it is like to be a good teacher for the difficult course of Research Methods in Psychology. 2. Understand in-depth research methods course materials, and the ability to convey this knowledge to undergraduate students. 3. Grade assignments, and meet with students weekly to go over the many course assignments.

Training  

  1. I will meet weekly with interns to go over the in-depth assignments, and there are many, in PSYC 202:Research Methods in Psychology 2. I will teach interns as TA's and what it is like to educate these students on difficult course materials 3. I will outline to students the ethical parameters of grading assignments and interacting with students.

Tasks/Duties  

  1. Meet weekly with me
    2. I will go over how they are grading the assignments
    3. I will observe the TA's meeting with students
