Human Resources InternshipAt — Bee's Houzz

Opportunity Summary

The Human Resources Internship at Bee's Houzz Music and Events Co. offers students from diverse academic backgrounds the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in recruiting, interviewing, training, and team development within a purpose-driven event production company. While the role is open to all majors, it has been specifically structured to meet the requirements of psychology- and business-related internships by integrating key elements of organizational psychology, interpersonal communication, and people operations. Students will learn to screen resumes, support hiring processes, coordinate onboarding and training, and promote healthy team culture — all while contributing to Bee’s Houzz’s mission of building inclusive, sustainable community events like the Bees Trees + Water Festival.

Culture Building: Help organize team-building activities, mental health check-ins, and community rituals that reinforce positive workplace values.

Employee Relations: Learn how to document and address workplace challenges with professionalism and confidentiality.

Training & Development: Aid in preparing training materials, evaluating onboarding effectiveness, and ensuring team members have the tools to succeed.

Conflict Resolution: Apply conflict management strategies and promote stress-reducing practices during high-pressure situations (e.g., pre-event deadlines).

Feedback Systems: Distribute, collect, and interpret feedback surveys from staff and crew to assess morale, engagement, and areas for improvement.

Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion: Engage in outreach and internal conversations to ensure our hiring practices and workplace reflect our values of inclusivity.

Sustainability Integration: Collaborate with the operations team to help reinforce eco-conscious values within team behavior and company policies.

Our training program is built to support diverse academic backgrounds with a strong emphasis on HR, organizational psychology, and communication:
