Intern Position Submission – Treasury / Finance Intern

Assignment Objective:
This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact Treasury and Finance initiatives, including financial risk management, process automation, and global strategic collaboration. The role is designed to provide real-world experience across core finance functions while equipping you with specialized skills in data analysis, risk mitigation, and digital transformation.

Key Objectives of the Internship:

  1. Lead Strategic Finance Projects – Take a central role in initiatives like Project Bladerunner, focused on analyzing exposure profiles and exploring innovative ways to reduce financial risk and improve cost efficiency.
  2. Advance Finance Automation – Support the design and deployment of automation solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform to streamline reporting, analysis, and compliance workflows.
  3. Support Risk Management Programs – Assist in executing and evaluating financial risk mitigation strategies, including exposure analysis, cost estimation, and performance tracking.
  4. Foster Global Finance Engagement – Collaborate with regional and global finance teams to share best practices, align processes, and enhance awareness of key financial exposures.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Support Financial Risk Management:

  • Analyze currency or financial exposures across balance sheet and/or P&L accounts.
  • Learn to use systems such as SAP, Power BI, and FXall to gather and evaluate data.
  • Help optimize hedge levels and program performance to reduce volatility and cost.
  • Support decision-making processes with data-driven insights.

Lead or Support Strategic Projects:

  • Conduct deep-dive financial analysis to uncover drivers of exposure and risk.
  • Partner with internal experts and external advisors to evaluate mitigation strategies.
  • Develop recommendations that challenge legacy thinking and unlock value.
  • Present findings to senior leadership and contribute to enterprise-wide strategy.

Automation and Process Optimization:

  • Design and refine workflows using Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.
  • Document, test, and iterate solutions that improve transparency and efficiency.
  • Identify areas of manual burden and build automation to improve throughput.

Global Collaboration and Communication:

  • Support the creation and delivery of finance and risk awareness programs.
  • Collaborate with international finance teams to align exposure management practices.
  • Create concise and compelling visualizations or materials to share key insights globally.

  • Banking and Derivatives Trading: Work directly with global banking partners and trading platforms (e.g., FXall), gaining experience in derivative execution and relationship management.
  • Technology Enablement: Receive hands-on training with Power BI, SAP, and Microsoft Power Platform to develop automation and improve financial transparency.
  • Executive Exposure: Participate in leadership meetings and strategy reviews, with opportunities to present insights and gain mentorship from senior Treasury and Finance leaders.
