Marketing InternAt — PACE Advanced Water Engineering

Opportunity Summary 

PACE is seeking a well-organized, dynamic individual to support business development efforts including assistance with preparing high quality competitive proposals and implementing marketing communication projects through social media, conference coordination, advertising, and creating brand awareness. This individual will report to the Vice President of Client Services within the Business Development Division of PACE and work closely with several technical and management staff members to ensure that key strategies and guidelines are identified and closely followed. Additionally, this person will help manage the proposal materials database, support tracking, and follow-up.

Tasks:

The intern will demonstrate their learning outcomes by:
- developing at least one project video for publication on social media and company website
- developing social media post content targeting a professional audience
- supporting marketing CRM database management by learning the database functions and tools and updating content regularly
- Support RFP responses by coordinating materials with other firm team members, compiling information, and editing documents as necessary to deliver key marketing messages.

Training:

- general employer orientation will take place during the first week of the internship
- one-on-one mentor meetings will take place at least weekly
- extensive job shadowing with other members of the business development and graphics team
- video editing and Adobe Suite training will be provided as needed for social media and project video development projects

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the internship, the student will be able to:
- create dynamic and targeted social media posts appealing to a professional audience
- navigate marketing databases to maintain content
- create video project profiles based on technical content that is communicated clearly to a non-technical audience
- understand an Request for Proposal (RFP) process and support content development of proposal materials
