Student intern performing a variety of tasks for an industrial products distributor
Tasks:
Perform assigned tasks in purchasing, inventory control, accounting, warehousing, shipping and customer service
Under the supervision of the office manager, assist in accounting tasks especially collections. Interact with suppliers to follow-up on open purchase orders. Interact with transportation carriers and warehouse to ensure timely deliveries on inbound merchandise. Perform regular reconciliation of product inventory. Assist in order fulfillment in the warehouse and unloading trucks. Assist in proposal follow-up and support of sales and marketing
Training:
Job training will be on the job. Each task will be explained by a CeramTech staff member and demonstrated to the intern. Work under the direct supervision of the company customer service manager
Learning outcome:
Have a practical understanding of how a small business operates.
Experience gained in A/P, collections, inventory management, shipping & receiving and sales support. Use an integrated business management computer system.
Use an inventory control system
Be familar with 3rd part Logistics Warehouse
