Opportunity Summary 

Responsibilities:

\n

    \n
  • Become an independent TV Producer who can create professional segments/shows from pre-production to post-production.
  • \n

  • Research and pitch stories and headlines.
  • \n

  • Write and edit scripts under deadlines.
  • \n

  • Identify, research, book, and pre-interview guests.
  • \n

  • Select compelling audio, video, and graphics to enhance stories and headlines.
  • \n

  • Provide show briefs to hosts, producers, and crew.
  • \n

  • Edit content for the web and post stories to the website.
  • \n

  • Follow news developments throughout the day.
  • \n

  • Help maintain an editorial calendar.
  • \n

  • Write and edit scripts for television programs and promotions.
  • \n

  • Assist in research and collect data for television programming and shows.
  • \n

  • Generate new story and news topics in cooperation with volunteers and staff.
  • \n

  • Assist in location and field productions.
  • \n

  • Assist with office administration duties and coordinate volunteer data.
  • \n

  • Assist with the recruitment of production crew and student volunteers.
  • \n

  • Work with editors to ensure productions are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • \n

  • Interact with community and university groups to develop and implement local productions.
  • \n

  • Assist in creating original programming concepts.
  • \n

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • \n

Why Titan TV: This internship provides a great experience for students to learn about television and video production, develop a work ethic in a creative field, learn news and storytelling techniques, and create a demo reel and portfolio.

Primary Tasks:

  • Assist in writing scripts.
  • \n

  • Assist in producing television programs and news packages.
  • \n

  • Research for stories and news.
  • \n

  • Assist with video and television productions.
  • \n

  • Assist in editing news and video packages.
  • \n

  • Produce talk shows, news programs, and segments.
  • \n

Training:

  • Comprehensive policy and guideline orientation.
  • \n

  • Multiple hands-on workshop training days.
  • \n

  • Additional training days specific to the job title.
  • \n

  • Crew on 30+ live broadcast shows throughout the semester.
  • \n

Learning Outcomes:

  • Become an independent TV Producer capable of creating professional segments/shows from pre-production to post-production.
  • \n

  • Work with the Production Coordinator to ensure all elements of story coverage and final editing are done properly and in a timely manner.
