Teacher InternAt — The Learning Tree Preschool

This position will provide hands on experience and training with the day-to-day activities for young children in the preschool setting. 

Tasks:

Students will learn how to lesson plan, help resolve daily conflicts among students, learn how to perform milestone evaluations, organize classrooms, manage allergies, and provide activities that are both age appropriate and engaging for children.

Training:

Training will include classroom organization, lesson planning, in field work, meetings with mentors, and licensing required classes such as mandated reporting, and pest and germ management.

Learning outcome:

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to successfully manage a classroom, promote a healthy learning environment, speak with parents and families and gain an overall knowledge of the preschool industry.
