Graphic Design Intern – Marketing Collateral 

Time Commitment: 8–10 hours per week 
Location: Hybrid (Some in-person preferred; remote work possible) 
Duration: One Semester 

About Stand Up for Kids – Orange County: 
Stand Up for Kids is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the cycle of youth homelessness. The Orange County chapter has been serving vulnerable and at-risk youth ages 12–24 for over 20 years, providing mentorship, basic needs, education support, and access to housing resources. We empower young people to build brighter futures and ultimately break the cycle of youth homelessness. 

About the Role: 
Stand Up for Kids – Orange County is seeking a creative and reliable Graphic Design Intern to assist in the creation of marketing collateral that supports our youth programs, events, and donor outreach. This role is ideal for a student studying graphic design, digital media, or visual communications who is building their portfolio and wants to make a real-world impact with their work. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design social media graphics, flyers, postcards, and digital banners using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite 

  • Assist in developing templates and branded materials aligned with our visual identity 

  • Revise and adapt content for different platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, email, print) 

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with the Marketing and Development teams 

Qualifications: 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Art, Marketing, or a related field 

  • Must have a portfolio of previous work (class projects welcome) 

  • Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Illustrator, or Photoshop 

  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to receive and incorporate feedback 

  • Must complete a half-day training and pass a background check ($18 fee)
