Opportunity Summary

We’re looking for a creative, results-driven Social Media Intern to join our team at Cal State Fullerton. This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes content creation, is detail-obsessed, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

As our Social Media Intern, you’ll work closely with our Social Media Strategist to tell the story of CSUF and support our mission to help students achieve greatness. You’ll create platform-specific content (photo, video, and written), write compelling captions, appear on camera, and help drive growth across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and Snapchat. You’ll also cover live events, schedule posts, and track performance using KPIs like impressions, engagements, and video views.

We’re looking for someone who:

Is confident with content creation and mobile-first storytelling

Understands social media platforms and what performs well on each

Writes sharp, engaging copy tailored to each channel

Brings ideas to the table and takes initiative

Is detail-oriented and deadline-driven

Is comfortable being on camera and representing CSUF

Loves data and uses it to improve content performance

This is a hands-on role where your work will directly support the university’s voice and mission. If you're passionate about social media and storytelling — and want to make a real impact — we’d love to hear from you.
