Are you enthusiastic and love working with kids? Join us as a Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in Orange County, CA, a role where you’ll make an impact by supporting kids with autism.  

As a Behavior Technician, you’ll work one-on-one with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), helping them grow social skills, build confidence, and thrive, while supporting their families along the way with personalized care.

Pay: $21 - $26 / hour\u202f\u202f\u202f
*pay based on experience

Sign-On Bonus: $500 sign-on bonus paid at your 6-month anniversary.

Schedule: Full-Time & Part-Time options available  
*Part-time availability requirements: We ask for at least 4 weekday afternoons (Mon – Fri, 2:30 – 6:30 pm) OR 3 weekday afternoons plus 1 weekend morning / mid-day shift.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement ABA therapy techniques and interventions  
  • Conduct engaging one-on-one therapy for skill and social development\u202f
  • Set up an exciting environment for the client, complete with therapy materials\u202f
  • Attend team meetings to track progress and discuss treatment plans\u202f
  • Use data collection tools to measure outcomes\u202f
  • Collaborate with the\u202fBoard-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)\u202fto adjust treatment plans\u202f
  • Provide support and guidance to the client's family\u202f
  • Document session notes and complete required paperwork\u202f\u202f\u202f

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working with children
  • Exposure to children/adults with Autism  
  • Must reside in Orange County
  • Ability to work in-clinic, in-school, and in-home settings  
  • Must be willing to drive 25 miles (average of 30 minutes) from the office\u202f
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Ability to be active and sit on the ground for long periods of time
  • Willing to complete a TB test and Background screening
  • RBT certification preferred  
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Vietnamese, or Korean preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or working towards education in Child Development, Psychology, or related field preferred

Some of our clients may engage in aggressive behaviors (i.e., hair pulling, biting, slapping, hitting, kicking, etc.). At this time, the majority of our clients are \\small\\ (3-10) and these behaviors are easily handled by anyone (even smaller female staff). When a client has a shown that they have a tendency to aggress, we put all staff through Safety Care Training which teaches staff how to best prevent these situations and how to respond if they are ever aggressed upon. <\/p>
