Smiling Calm Hearts Open Our Learning, Inc. (SCHOOL, Inc.) is seeking Marketing and Content Creator Interns to join our dedicated Gen Z team and work directly with our founder and CEO. This is a unique opportunity to build your creative portfolio, support meaningful educational transformation, and gain hands-on experience with a pioneering nonprofit that brings yoga mindfulness practices to public school classrooms.

About Us

Since 2002, SCHOOL, Inc. has provided yoga mindfulness programming in Title 1 public schools—supporting over 28,000 youth and training more than 1,000 teachers in districts such as Los Angeles Unified, Pasadena Unified, and New York City DOE. Our SCHOOL Yoga & Mindfulness curriculum aligns with Common Core and State Standards in English Language Arts, Health, and Physical Education. Our focus is not on physical poses, but on fostering emotional balance, inclusive mindsets, and peaceful habits through intentional breathing and social-emotional tools.

What You'll Do

You’ll help us grow our social media reach and impact, so more educators and students can access our transformative programs. You’ll also receive free SCHOOL Yoga & Mindfulness training and exclusive access to our digital video library, gaining life-changing tools for personal well-being and authentic outreach.

Content Creation Intern

  • Develop engaging, reel-style content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube
  • Option to film original content that reflects our mission and tone
  • Use trending techniques, creative editing, and storytelling for compelling short-form video
  • Ideal for students with a visual or storytelling mindset

Marketing Intern

  • Brainstorm and design creative campaigns that connect with educators and Gen Z new teachers
  • Strengthen content messaging across platforms and audiences
  • Stay up to date on social media trends and recommend fresh strategies
  • Ideal for students with strong writing or strategy skills

Junior and senior-level undergraduates encouraged to apply.

• Time commitment: ~8 hours/week
• Format: Remote, with one weekly Zoom meeting + independent work
• Start date: Flexible
• Duration: Customizable based on semester/quarter

Training & Support

Interns will receive:

  • Weekly mentorship and feedback from the CEO
  • Opportunities to collaborate and take initiative
  • An online orientation, weekly progress check-ins, and a final review
  • Free access to SCHOOL Yoga & Mindfulness lessons, talks, and self-paced video library

Learning Outcomes

  • Analyze and refine social media content and strategy
  • Develop marketing ideas tailored for a mission-driven audience
  • Strengthen collaboration, creativity, and communication skills
