Opportunity Summary 

Assistant Editor Intern

The Assistant Editor Intern will support the post-production team by organizing and managing digital assets, syncing audio and video, assembling rough cuts, and preparing edited sequences for review. The role also involves maintaining project files, assisting with creative editing tasks, and collaborating with senior editors to ensure deadlines are met. This position offers hands-on experience in professional film editing workflows.

Tasks:

Organize and log raw footage and audio files. • Sync audio and video clips for editing. • Assemble rough cuts based on scripts or storyboards. • Prepare edited sequences for review by senior editors. • Implement creative feedback to refine cuts. • Maintain an organized digital asset library. • Assist in exporting and formatting final deliverables for various platforms.

Training:

The student will receive an initial orientation to Picture1Productions’ post-production workflow and editing systems. This includes one-on-one mentorship from the CEO and lead editors, job shadowing during live editing sessions, and skills training in media organization, syncing, and cut preparation. The student will be provided with sample projects for practice and will receive contextual explanations for all assigned tasks. Weekly feedback sessions will be held to review progress and address technical and creative development.

Demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer). 3. Manage digital assets according to industry best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
