Teacher Assistant InternAt — Fairmont Private Schools - Anaheim

Helping students, supporting kids in the classroom with work they may not understand, helping the teacher with work assignments that may need to be graded/ filed, helping the teacher if needed one on one with the students, also helping the teacher with anything they may need help with. 

Tasks:

Lesson planning alongside veteran teachers, co-teach portions of class alongside veteran teachers and receive feedback, work with students during whole class instruction, small group and individual support.

Training:

One-on-one meeting time with classroom teachers in whose class the intern will serve. Class observation time. Class support time alongside a veteran teacher. Feedback sessions with classroom teachers.

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to: better understand how teachers run a class throughout the day, to learn lesson planning from experts in the field, to experience varying class environments, to learn classroom management techniques and approaches
