The responsibilities will be to assist chiropractic office with daily routines while gaining exposure to the chiropractic profession. Intern will be familiarized with both the treatment and business side of running a chiropractic office. Duties will include answering phones, scheduling appointments, some billing administration, basic clerical duties, providing assistance with treatments, and marketing to assist with the development of future business.

Internship would benefit students interested in a career in Chiropractic, medical, clinical or health-related professions.

Training:

1. Provide an understanding of chiropractic and types of injuries that can benefit from chiropractic treatment.
2. Types of treatment utilized to prevent recurrence of injuries.
3. How to administer physical therapy treatments related to chiropractic treatment.
4. Insurance billing administration and how to resolve billing issues.
5. Scheduling of patients and payment collection.
6. Marketing techniques to develop future business.

Learning Outcomes:

To have gained an understanding of chiropractic including both the treatment and business side of effectively operating a chiropractic office.
