To implement behavior therapy with children diagnosed with autism and related
developmental disabilities and with their families as part of a clinical team.
\u25cf To build relationships and make learning fun for each child.
\u25cf To implement behavior plans and interventions as directed by the behavior consultant
and BCBA.
\u25cf To target skills goals as directed by the behavior consultant and clinical supervisor.
\u25cf To work with parents on teaching skills goals.
\u25cf To collect data on the child's behaviors and progress with goals as directed by the clinical
supervisor.
\u25cf To collaborate with the clinical team during team meetings.
\u25cf To attend and participate in on-going trainings, in-service sessions, and other meetings
as scheduled.
\u25cf To log all hours worked, obtain signatures from authorized guardians and submit
timesheets on time.
\u25cf Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the Center, including
cleaning up areas upon completion of each session.
\u25cf Responsible for leading group ABA.
\u25cf Diaper changes when needed for certain clients.
\u25cf Cleaning up activities/items used within each clients session throughout the center.
\u25cf As a child finishes with a toy/activity, it should be cleaned up prior to moving on to
another activity and/or area of the center.
\u25cf After a child eats, cleaning the table top and surrounding area.
\u25cf Following clean up times listed on daily center schedule (e.g., picking up items/activity
used, wiping down the table top, sweeping if necessary).
Training:
-20 hours of didactic training from Clinical Trainer
-20 hours of in-vivo shadowing with BT2 (trainer BT) and their client
-weekly supervision from Master's Level Supervisor
-monthly supervision from BCBA
-90 day review, 6-month review, and annual review
Learning Outcome:
By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to:
-collect data, hitting specified trial count
-manage behaviors following BIP independently
-engage client throughout session and facilitate play opportunities
