Mental Health InternAt — Founders Outreach

The intern will learn about psychosocial rehabilitation and a recovery program for people living with schizophrenia spectrum disorders 

Tasks:

• Co-facilitate groups
• Learn basic counseling skills
• Write treatment plans

The intern will be given feedback on their ability to facilitate group, administer assessments and how well they write a treatment plan. They will also be observed performing assessments and feedback will be given.

Training:

The intern will receive training on how to facilitate skills based groups, counseling skills and learn about Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorders and Bipolar Disorder. In addition, the intern will learn about the elements of a psychosocial rehabilitation program. They will directly shadow the clinician and will never be alone with clients.
