Opportunity Summary 

Work with Behavioral Health Services Act Community Program Planning and Administration in assistance with coordination, engagement initiatives, communication, policy development and program improvement.

Tasks:

Tracking of community engagement activities, perform quality assurance measures of data analysis and reporting, attend CPP meetings to discuss policy development and program improvement, ensure regulatory compliance, assist with coordination of community events.

Training:

Intern will build on skill learned with this internship.  Intern will meet with staff and management for skill building and to increase breadth of knowledge regarding behavioral health and the community in regards to community program planning through Proposition 1 (Behavioral Health Services Act). Job shadowing and meeting attendance will assist in learning to utilize databases, prepare for community forums and to include data with evaluation methods through application of critical thinking skills.

Learning Outcome:

1. Help with data management and spreadsheets to track community engagement activities.
2. Ensure survey accuracy, data quality, and integrity.
3. Conduct data analysis and prepare analytics and documentation.
4. Conduct record reviews.
5. Support BHSA CPP team with community activities.
