Opportunity Summary 

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and is responsible for the direct implementation of skill acquisition and behavior reduction plans developed by the BCBA.  The RBT provides assistance to children, families, and team members in providing an appropriate, safe learning environment for students enrolled in the program. 

 

                                MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience working with children

 

        PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experience working with children with special needs preferred
  • Active RBT Certification or Completion of 40-Hour RBT Certification
  • CPR and First Aid (Must be completed for Credentialing)

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluent in the English language
  • Able to learn, demonstrate, and explain physical skills of moderate complexity
  • Physically able to move from a standing position to one knee and back up, without assistance or support
  • Normal functioning and range of motion in arms, legs, hips, wrists, back, neck, etc.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION 

  • Criminal background check that is free of felonies or any offenses involving child abuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence and/or drug or alcohol related charges.
  • Reliable means of transportation, valid driver's license, clear traffic abstract and proof of car insurance.
  • Active RBT Certification.

 

JOB DUTIES

·         Implement goals that are objective and measurable according to the program designed by the BCBA.

·         Collect data accurately and use systems in place to flag concerns immediately to BCBAs.

·         Maintain a neat and orderly clinic environment.

·         Assist with parent and caregiver training when prescribed and necessary.

·         Maintain certifications necessary pertaining to the current role.

·         Complete required training and data in a timely manner.

·         Interacts with the clinical team and families to ensure client progression.

·         Provide direct services to clients based on current treatment plans.

·         Maintain daily electronic session notes/data.

·         Notify supervisor, family, and BCBA for employee-initiated cancellations.

·         Render sessions by the close of business day.

·         Follow all company policies and procedures for HIPAA.

·         Follow all applicable company workflows.

·         Facilitates daily schedule in the clinic (circle time, snack time, craft time, lunch, etc.)

·         Assist young children with personal needs such as diaper changing, potty training, hand washing, and feeding.

·         Perform cleaning procedures to set infection control standards to ensure all areas of the clinic are clean.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.
