Opportunity Summary
Working to provide behavioral therapy for children on the autism spectrum.
Tasks:
- Implement individualized ABA therapy programs under the supervision of a BCBA/BCaBA
- Work 1:1 with clients to teach communication, social, daily living, and play skills
- Collect accurate data on client behavior and skill acquisition during sessions
- Follow behavior intervention plans to address challenging behaviors
- Assist with preparing therapy materials and setting up teaching environments
- Maintain professional and clear communication with supervisors and caregivers
- Participate in regular supervision meetings and training sessions to build skills
Training:
- Initial onboarding and training on ABA principles, data collection, and behavior intervention procedures
- Ongoing hands-on training during sessions with feedback from BCBA/BCaBA supervisors
- Regular supervision meetings to review client progress and refine implementation skills
- Access to company training materials and resources to support professional growth
- Opportunities to develop skills relevant for future RBT certification or BCA supervision hours (if applicable)
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to:
- Gain hands-on experience implementing ABA therapy in real clinical setting
- Develop skills in behavior data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Learn how to implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans

Some clients may engage in behaviors such as aggression, self-injury, or property destruction. However, interns will receive training in behavior management and safety procedures and will always be supervised by a BCBA/BCaBA when implementing treatment.
