Opportunity Summary 

In this position, you will be working with individuals on the autism spectrum and who have other special needs. You will provide 1:1 treatment for the client, or you may be asked to work with several clients at the same time. You will be required to use principles of applied behavior analysis to teach adaptive behaviors such as language, socialization, play self-help, and motor skills. You will also implement behavior modification techniques such a differential reinforcement of alternative behaviors to reduce the exhibited problem behaviors.

Tasks:

Follows and enforces rules, policies, and procedures as set by the teacher, school, and school district.
Assists teachers with classroom management including but not limited to; in-class tasks, supervising students, or performing administrative tasks.
Provides all support under the direction of the teacher.
Provides behavior support to students when applicable.
Uses data to track student progress towards their own goals.
Provides quality care for individuals with autism disorders and other special needs.
Maintain confidentiality by obeying HIPAA laws and regulations.
Professionally interact with colleagues, members of the public, and clients or business associates.
Handles other duties as assigned.

Learning outcome:
