Opportunity Summary 

Intern will gain practical, supervised experience in sports medicine, assisting Certified Athletic Trainers with injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for athletes. Responsibilities include hands-on tasks like taping, stretching, and exercise programming, as well as administrative duties such as injury documentation and facility maintenance. 

Tasks:

Duties will include designing and documenting rehab programs for athletic injuries with the assistance of the ATC. They will also perform daily AT Clinic duties of set up and break down of events. They will perform injury evaluations and assessments of athletic injuries.

Training:

General orientation meeting, Job shadowing, weekly emergency management scenario practices, review of educating athletes on technique and supervised assessments of athletes for injuries, conditions, and illnesses on the field or court, including concussions.
