Purpose

As a Human Resources Intern you will help maintain and improve HR practices, programs, and employee offerings that directly impact the experience of all AAIS employees. Responsibilities

You will assist the Human Resources team in a variety of HR functions, such as:

  • Assisting organizing and maintaining HR files and documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Supporting employee engagement programs by helping coordinate events, surveys, and recognition initiatives.
  • Collaborating on recruitment activities, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.
  • Participating in talent management efforts, supporting performance management, training, and development initiatives.
  • Assisting with compensation programs, including data entry and analysis to support equitable and competitive pay structures.
  • Contributing to various HR projects and initiatives, offering fresh ideas and perspectives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or requested.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities and deliver effectively on ad hoc requests.

  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple channels and asynchronously in a remote-first working environment.

Requirements

  • Student must be enrolled in an accredited university working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Ability to work in a fully remote working environment free from distractions and access to stable and reliable internet services.

Employment Conditions

  • The intern will be expected to work full-time at 37.5 hours/week over the summer with the potential for part-time work continuing during the school year.
  • This internship is classified as a temporary, part-time position.
  • This internship is compensated as non-exempt, hourly position.
  • This internship position is a fully remote.
