Opportunity Summary 

  • Gain an understanding and assist in planning multiple audit assignments in Real Estate, Construction, Nonprofit, Manufacturing and many more industries

  • Execute solid understanding of accounting and auditing principles, quality control standards and technology implementation procedures relative to individual client assignments

  • Participate in client assignments from beginning to end

  • Identify and communicate audit issues, technical matters and improvement opportunities with senior associates, managers and partners to resolve client issues discovered during the audit process

  • Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with all levels of client staff to increase customer satisfaction and to strengthen client relationships

  • Pledge to provide exceptional service to every client by providing individual attention, responsiveness and commitment to understanding their goals and needs

  • Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct

Tasks:

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in audit planning by gathering client and industry information.
- Perform audit testing and document workpapers for financial statement accounts.
- Support audit teams in identifying issues and preparing deliverables.
- Communicate with clients to obtain data and clarify audit requests.
- Help finalize audit reports and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Uphold firm standards of quality, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Training:

After HR orientation, students will join in our Core Foundations Training virtually from Wednesday, January 7 through Tuesday, January 12. Additionally, they will participate in job shadowing, and get one-on-one training from local staff members.

Learning outcome:

By the end of the internship, students will be able to:

- Apply GAAP and GAAS principles to real-world audit engagements.
- Participate in planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up phases of audits across various industries.
- Identify and communicate audit findings and improvement opportunities.
- Develop professional communication and client service skills.
- Use audit software and Microsoft Office tools effectively.
