Organizational Development InternshipAt — University of California, Irvine

This position will be responsible for evaluating the current practices surrounding the hiring, training and development of staff within the Facilities Services area of Student Housing, and providing suggestions for improvement both in efficiency and in long term sustainability.

Tasks:

1. Conduct research based on current internal recruitment, training, and staff development practices.
2. Provide analysis of the findings, and
3. Develop best steps to improve current practices.

Training:

Students will be provided hands-on training via mentorship and the opportunity to work directly with a number of different staff in various functional areas within the department.

Learning Outcome

1. To gain hand's on experience observing, interacting with, and interviewing staff based on the specific duties that they perform.
2. Utilize the knowledge and education that they have gained within the classes that they have taken toward their respective degree.
3. To have the opportunity to have an impact on the process that are being used within the department of Student Housing at UCI.
