Opportunity Summary 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Orange County Continuum of Care Board has responsibility for the oversight and efficiency of the homelessness response system.

TASKS

Attend Board and committee meetings, participate in designing and setting policy and process for functions overseen by the CoC Board, advise County staff.

PROPOSED TRAINING METHODS

Board member orientation, mentorship, experiential learning, briefings with County staff and homelessness experts.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the internship, the student will be able to understand CoC Board responsibilities and processes, participate in actions taken by the Board, develop policy and process recommendations, exert influence on policy decisions, lead processes and projects related to homelessness.
