Associate Theatre Production Manager- DuronAt — CSUF - College of the Arts

Opportunity Summary 

The Associate Production Management position will shadow Theatre faculty and staff production managers throughout the semester. The intern will be responsible for managing the department of Theatre and Dances Studio Series productions, creating a calendar, scheduling meetings, managing technical rehearsals, and communicating with the creative teams for the various productions.

Learning Outcomes  

By the end of the internship the student will be able to apply their knowledge of the role of a Production Manager into a real world scenario. In addition, the student will be able to manage meetings, deadlines, groups of people, and multiple productions, as well as, gain organizational and people skills needed to manage a small theatre company through the studio series shows.

Training  

To help the student achieve the proposed learning outcomes, I will guide them in creating organizational paperwork and calendar deadlines, supervising the student in on realized productions in the department, and supporting students in real life settings through hands on guidance, mentorship, and opportunities to apply their skills in professional theatrical environments so that they can achieve the above learning objectives.

Tasks/Duties  

The intern will demonstrate the learning outcomes by completing assign tasks independently, such as managing the production schedule, coordinating and running production meetings, maintaining schedules for the creative team, practical decision making and trouble shooting, and assisting the Faculty Production Manager on other tasks for department productions.
