Behavioral Solutions Program InternAt — Sunstar Clinical
This position provides some direct and indirect client support (assessments, , case management documentation development), administrative tasks (record keeping, documentation), and community outreach, all under the guidance of a licensed supervisor to apply social work theory in real-world settings focusing on client well-being, crisis intervention, and connecting individuals with resources.
Tasks:
Conduct intake assessments, screenings, and needs assessments.Develop and implement care/service plans, including risk management
Make referrals and connect clients to community resources.
Manage electronic
Assist with program development and needs assessments and organizational systems.
Co- Facilitate Groups as available.
Training:
Review of employee handbook
Bi Monthly Treatment Team Meetings.
Monthly Department Meetings
Regularly Scheduled One-on-One mentor meetings
Weekly Assigned task list
Attend educational workshops as scheduled
Shadow staff as available
Review of patient assessments , safety plans and diagnostics.
DSM - V Training
Hands on documentation development and review
Learning Outcome:
Develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
Develop and implement appropriate safety plans based on identified pathology.
Recognize symptoms, diagnosis and treatment options based off of behavioral health assessments.
Be able to identify and provide appropriate substance or mental health resources for any patient that presents.
