Internship/VolunteerAt — Wonderkind Pediatric Therapy

Assist in clinic maintenance and organization.

Observed sessions (1-2 per shift). 

Assist with intervention set up and clean up for fellow therapists. 

Implement clinic project collaborated with Volunteer Coordinator and Assistant Director. 

Tasks:

1. Participate in session clean up, set up, and prepping intervention with all disciplines.
2. Observe sessions with therapists educating the reasoning behiind specific intervention implementation based on client background, medical history, and current concerns/deficits.

Training:

Students will be provided shadowing opportunities to assess the above learning outcomes with opportunities to ask questions as needed.

Learning Outcome:

1. Understand the day to day tasks required of a therapist for varying professions (OT/PT.ST).
2. Identify the most common populations seen in a Pediatric setting.
3. Identify intervention tools that can be implemented in varying sessions for PT/OT/ST.
