Medical ScribeAt — Children's Medical Group of Orange County

The medical scribe will accompany the doctor during patient visits and document the visit in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)

Tasks:

Student must arrive on time for all shifts
Student will document the doctor's visit in the EHR
Student must act in a professional manner at all times

Training:

Student will receive a 3 hour orientation sesssion that explains all of the job duties
Student will receive training at least once a week one-on-one with one of the doctors

Learning Outcome:

1) understand and use medical terminology
2) have a good knowledge of pediatric medical conditions
3) document a medical visit
