Job Summary:
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Operations IT Intern to support our data and operations teams. This role offers hands-on experience with data cleaning, reporting, dashboard building, and exposure to warehouse and supply chain workflows. You’ll work cross-functionally with teams across sales, operations, and IT to help ensure our systems run smoothly and our product and pricing data stays up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and prepare data from platforms like ERP, WMS, Ecommerce, and Online Marketplaces.

Maintain accurate product and pricing data across systems.

Build and update reports to track KPIs such as order fulfillment, inventory, and vendor pricing.

Assist in developing dashboards in BI systems.

Support data integration processes using tools like ETL, data orchestration systems.

Collaborate with warehouse staff to understand and improve operational processes.

Document workflows and updates using tools like Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic knowledge of Excel, SQL, and Power Query.

Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

Familiarity with reporting or BI tools is a plus (Power BI, Tableau, or Metabase).

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Interest in operations, technology, and data analysis.

Tasks:

Duties Supporting Learning Outcomes (Professional/Pre-Professional)

Clean and transform operational data from various business systems to prepare for reporting and analysis.

Create and maintain reports that support key performance indicators such as product velocity, late shipments, and vendor pricing comparisons.

Assist in building data dashboards to visualize business performance metrics and support data-driven decision-making.

Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and scheduled workflows to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, IT, sales) to contextualize technical insights and improve business processes.

Document data workflows and processes in internal knowledge systems to support transparency and repeatability.

Participate in weekly mentorship meetings and apply feedback to improve technical and analytical skills.

Shadow warehouse operations to connect physical processes (picking, packing, shipping) with data flows and reporting logic.

Training:

The intern will receive a general orientation on company policies, expectations, and tools. During the first week, they will shadow warehouse operations to understand core workflows. Weekly one-on-one mentor meetings will provide ongoing guidance and feedback. Training includes hands-on practice with real tasks, supported by work samples and process overviews. Skills development will focus on data analysis, reporting, and workflow optimization. All training is designed to support practical learning and cross-functional collaboration.

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the internship, the Operations IT Intern will have developed practical skills in cleaning, organizing, and analyzing operational data from multiple business sources. They will understand how to support key performance reporting, assist in building dashboards, and maintain data workflows that inform business operations. The intern will also gain hands-on experience working cross-functionally with operations, sales, and technology teams, and will develop a strong foundation in process analysis, communication, and data-driven decision-making.
