Spring 2026 Internship with OCHCAAt — Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA)
The County of Orange Health Care Agency (OCHCA) is a dynamic organization dedicated to creating and supporting an environment that promotes the achievement of optimal individual, family and community health. The Behavioral Health Services Division consists of eight (8) service areas. This Division provides a culturally competent and client-centered system of behavioral health services for all eligible county residents in need of treatment for alcohol and other drug abuse and mental health care.
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic interns to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in behavioral health and health care administration, providing exposure to real-world projects and tasks that impact the community.
Under supervision of an OCHCA site supervisor, the intern will provide assistance and
support within the different departments of OCHCA. Essential duties vary depending on the department, and may include, but not limited to: event set up and support; department administrative support; costumer service; data entry and tacking; patient scheduling; support with community engagement initiatives and outreach opportunities; and other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Tasks:
* Collect information, data, and records to electronic registration system
* Organize and maintain department documents and data
* Answer phone calls and provide customer service
*Greet and assist customers or attendees during outreach events
*Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Training:
Students will be required to attend monthly training to enhance knowledge about behavioral health services, professional conduct, and professionalism in the workplace. Student interns will be required to completed required training with OCHCA as well.
