Job Description:

The primary role of the Software Engineering Intern is responsible for sustenance and development of the Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise products. During this internship you will use state-of-the art tools, methods and procedures to deliver high quality products and product improvements. The job is for an individual that wants to learn and be part of a great team!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop automation scripts
  • Setup software automation testbeds
  • Run automation scripts
  • Create test reports

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of Python or other programming languages.
  • Experience with Word and Excel
  • Proficient in using software applications
  • Experience with Word and Excel (repeated above)
  • basic knowledge of network technology

Tasks:

1. Hands on experience with ALE hardware and software, Product test plans, Software functional document and Hardware functional specification documents
2. Building network topologies with ALE products and traffic generators such as Ixia, Data center servers and VMs,
3. Product test lab – Work along Product test Engineers and get familiar with Regression environment including HW and SW
4. Automation framework – training and experience on python automation library framework used for regression validation
