This internship provides hands-on experience in administrative and operational functions within a growing private company in the health and wellness industry. The intern will work closely with company leadership to support day-to-day operations, internal coordination, and project execution while gaining exposure to professional business practices in a startup environment.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing administrative and operational support, including scheduling, calendar coordination, meeting preparation, and follow-up documentation.
- Assisting with internal project coordination, task tracking, and organization of shared documents and workflows.
- Conducting research related to vendors, partners, events, or operational needs and summarizing findings in a professional format.
- Supporting internal communications, documentation, and reporting.
- Assisting with special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
This position is structured as an academic internship for college credit and emphasizes learning, mentorship, and skill development rather than routine clerical work. The majority of duties are professional or pre-professional in nature.
Tasks:
The intern will perform professional and pre-professional duties that support business operations and allow demonstration of academic learning outcomes. Tasks include: • Providing administrative and operational support, including scheduling, calendar management, meeting preparation, and follow-up documentation. • Assisting with internal project coordination, task tracking, and organization of shared documents and workflows. • Conducting research related to vendors, partners, events, or operational needs and summarizing findings in written reports. • Supporting internal communications, documentation, and reporting processes. • Assisting with planning and execution of special projects and cross-functional initiatives. • Participating in team meetings and contributing to operational planning and process improvement efforts.
The majority of duties are professional or pre-professional in nature and designed to build transferable business, administrative, and organizational skills.
Training:
The intern will receive a structured onboarding and ongoing training throughout the internship. Training includes an initial orientation covering company operations, professional expectations, confidentiality, communication standards, and use of internal tools. During the first two weeks, the intern will receive role-specific instruction through guided walkthroughs, task demonstrations, and shadowing. Ongoing training will include weekly one-on-one check-ins with the supervisor to review progress, provide feedback, and introduce increasingly complex responsibilities. The intern will also receive continuous mentorship through real-time collaboration on professional projects and periodic performance reviews focused on learning outcomes and skill development.
