Opportunity Summary 

The Marketing and Communications Intern will support Constructora Malpo in the development and execution of marketing and communication strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives. The intern will assist in creating content for digital platforms, supporting brand positioning, and contributing to internal and external communication initiatives.

Responsibilities include supporting social media and digital content creation, assisting in basic advertising and promotional materials, collaborating on brand communication strategies, conducting basic market and competitor research, and supporting communication efforts related to ongoing construction projects. The intern will also gain exposure to strategic planning, professional communication practices, and real-world marketing operations within a growing construction company.

This internship provides hands-on experience in marketing, advertising, and communications, allowing the student to apply academic concepts learned in coursework to a professional business environment.

Tasks:

The student will assist with marketing and communication-related tasks, including supporting the creation of digital and promotional content, assisting with social media and online communication efforts, and contributing to basic advertising materials.

Additional duties include conducting introductory market and competitor research, supporting brand positioning initiatives, assisting with internal and external communication projects, and collaborating with the supervisor on marketing-related activities connected to ongoing construction projects. The majority of tasks will be professional and pre-professional in nature, allowing the student to apply academic knowledge in marketing, advertising, and communications to real organizational needs.

Training:

The student will receive structured training throughout the internship, beginning with an initial orientation to the company, its operations, and communication objectives. Ongoing training will include regular one-on-one meetings with the supervisor, guidance on assigned marketing and communication tasks, and feedback on completed work.

Additional training will consist of task-specific instruction related to digital content creation, brand communication practices, and basic market research. The student will also receive contextual explanations of assigned projects and opportunities to observe and participate in professional marketing and communication processes within the organization.

Learning outcome:

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to apply fundamental marketing and communication principles in a real-world business environment. The student will demonstrate the ability to support brand communication strategies, create basic marketing and promotional content, and contribute to digital communication efforts aligned with organizational goals.

The student will also be able to analyze basic market and competitor information, communicate professionally with internal stakeholders, and connect theoretical concepts from academic coursework to practical marketing and advertising activities within a professional organization.
