Infection Prevention AssistantAt — Doctors' of Infection Control Services
As an Infection Prevention Assistant, the student will assist in auditing and collecting data for hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, catheter associated-UTI and BSI, and report infectious diseases to public health.
Tasks:
The student will round in healthcare facilities to collect hand hygiene and personal protective equipment compliance. The student will round on patients to ensure that devices are maintained according to hospital policies. The student will fill out reports and fax them to the department of public health.
Training:
The student will be oriented on every task thoroughly on how to perform specific audits and will be supervised to ensure the audit is done correctly. The student will have direct access to the supervisor for any assistant or questions.

2. Preventing hospital acquired infections associated with indwelling devices
3. Complying with state and county laws for reportable diseases
