Behavior TechnicianAt — Holding Hands Inc.
The Behavior Technician provides 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to clients by implementing treatment plans designed by the supervising BCBA. They deliver skill-building programs, collect continuous data, and follow individualized behavior intervention strategies. The Behavior Technician supports clients in building communication, social, adaptive, and play skills across home, school, and community settings. Professionalism, reliability, and strong collaboration with supervisors and families are essential to success in this role.
Tasks:
mplement 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment programs as designed and supervised by the BCBA.
Run structured teaching trials, natural environment teaching, and play-based learning activities to build communication, social, adaptive, and pre-academic skills.
Accurately collect and record data on skill acquisition and behavior reduction goals during every session.
Follow individualized behavior intervention plans, including proactive strategies, prompting procedures, and reinforcement systems.
Support clients during transitions, activities, and community outings as applicable to their goals.
Maintain professional communication with supervisors and caregivers, reporting client progress or concerns promptly.
Participate in required trainings, supervision sessions, and competency assessments to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Adhere to ethical guidelines, safety protocols, and confidentiality requirements at all times.

40 Hours of Module Based Training (includes ethics, professionalism and skill based learning)
4-8 Hours of Practicum/Role-Based Training
10 hours of Field Based Competency Training
Ongoing training includes the following:
Weekly observations/support from supervisory staff

Learning Outcome:
Develop foundational competency in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) by learning how to implement evidence-based teaching strategies, collect data, and support individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision.Build practical experience working with neurodiverse children and adolescents, including supporting skill development in communication, play, adaptive behavior, and social interaction.Demonstrate an understanding of ethical standards and culturally responsive practices within behavioral health, including confidentiality, professionalism, and respect for client dignity.
