Opportunity Summary 

Intern will serve for spring 2026 semester as undergraduate course assistant. Intern will attend class to assist with in-class activities and assignments; hold weekly office hours; conduct review sessions prior to quizzes and exams; grade homework assignments.

Learning Outcomes  

  1. better understand issues involved with instruction of undergraduate students.
    2. use rubrics to grade homework assignments in a fair and equitable manner.
    3. provide feedback to students to improve their performance.
    4. conduct review sessions to help students prior to quizzes and exams.

Training  

  1. require intern to complete online training in FERPA and confidentiality of student records.
    2. provide detailed scoring rubrics to grade assignments.
    3. meet with intern after each class for review of class session and next steps.
    4. be available between classes for interaction with intern via email.

Tasks/Duties  

  1. attending class to assist with in-class activities and assignments
    2. holding weekly office hours
    3. conducting review sessions prior to quizzes and exams
    4. grading homework assignments.
