Care Ambassador VolunteerAt — Kaiser Permanante Riverside
The care ambassador volunteer plays a vital role in enhancing the patient and visitor experience by providing comfort, assistance, and support within the hospital unit. Under the supervision of nursing staff, volunteers help with non-clinical tasks, patient engagement, and logistical support to ensure a welcoming and safe environment.
Tasks:
Welcome and assist visitors; direct them to patient rooms. Prepare admission packets and set up rooms for new patients. Respond to call lights and patient requests. Conduct hourly rounds and participate in unit activities under RN supervision. Assist with surveys, answer phones, and relay messages. Restock patient rooms and retrieve medical equipment. Support mobility and transport of patients as directed by staff. Assist with activity cart and quiet at night cart initiatives. Help train new care Ambassadors.
Training:
Observe medical staff and shadowing, role-specific training/orientation.
None one to provide feedback/evaluation.
