Kindergarten StaffAt — Boys and Girls Club of Huntington Valley (Huntington Beach)

Kindergarten staff will lead a classroom of 20-30 TK and kindergarten students in multiple activities mimicking a self-contained classroom. Staff lead children through a daily routine of centers/group work, academic lessons, calendar and carpet time, snack time, recess, etc. They also plan and lead social emotional learning lessons and enrichment.

Tasks:

Plan and lead lessons in various areas (Math, ELA, STEM, Art, Physical Education)
Set and follow a routine/schedule in the classroom

Training:

Shadowing, one-on-one mentor meetings once a month

Learning Outcome:

Student will be able to:
lead lessons in a self-contained classroom of 20-30
help TK/kinder students follow a set schedule
display multiple classroom management tactics/skills
