Intern/Student TeacherAt — Catalyst Kids- Callie Kirkpatrick

The intern will be assisting teachers with prepping activities, supervising students inside and outside the classroom. They will also help document and observe children through anecdotal notes, support and guide the children through their day. 

Tasks:-

Plan and implement small group instruction based on student ability levels.
-Independently lead whole-group and small-group lessons.
-Model respectful language and behavior at all times.
-Ensure supervision and safety procedures are consistently followed.

Training:

-Weekly coaching meetings
-Classroom observations with feedback
-Gradual release of responsibility (observe → co-teach → lead → reflect)

Learning Outcome:

-Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
-Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
-Monitor student engagement and adjust instruction as needed.
-Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
-Demonstrate professionalism in punctuality, preparation, and conduct.
