Volunteer InternAt — Providence, St. Jude Medical Center

Volunteer will be observing nursing units with patients of different diagnosis.

Tasks:

- observe RN units (Observing only no hands on)
Answer phones and call lights, get supplies, round on patients, high touch cleaning, help with discharges, get supplies, stock gloves or anything asked of them, assemble packets, and bring snacks and refill water.

Training:

Being an observer during treatments to see how the therapists care for each patient in their unique needs and diagnoses. Job shadowing hospital nurses.

Learning Outcome:

- understanding hospital treatments
- observing a wide variety of patient diagnoses
