DUTIES: HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE, CHINESE/ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS AND MATH TUTORING, READING COMPREHENSION AND WRITING SKILLS TUTORING.  CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT AND PLAYGROUND SUPERVISION SKILLS 

STUDENT GRADE LEVEL: K – 5TH

DATE AND HOURS: 2:00 – 5:30 or 1:30- 5:00 pm. M-F. (Flexible Dates and Hours)

Super Institute (SEERI) offers after-school and summer school Programs at Hacienda La Puente Unified School District campuses.

Tasks:

1. Elementary K 5 level curriculum preparation
2. Classroom management
3. Playground supervision skills.
4. Student safety awareness.
5. Be an effective team member.

Training:

Student receives a two-day orientation from SEERI Super Institute administrators. Student to shadow mentor teachers at all five grade levels. Students will be given opportunity to give classroom instructions under supervision of mentors.

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to design TK-5 curriculums for at least two grade levels. Manage classroom and playground activities. Have classroom instruction skills. Grading student homework and classwork.
